Play Up

“Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” Albert Einstein

Playful engagement program integrating with clinical care.

Delivered to Residential Aged Care Facilities nationally, Play Up stimulates and engages elders, reinforcing positive memories and connections in a playful manner. This personalised, interactive approach can kick-start communication and reduce agitation and depression for people with dementia. It is also a powerful energizer for those without dementia. It encourages and uplifts the soul, counteracting feelings of despair and loneliness.

Regular visits to aged care facilities are made by a Play Up Valet with special humour therapy and engagement skills who work with residents and mentor staff.

Have Play Up in your aged care facility and continue the positive effects that were demonstrated in the SMILE Study, an important randomised controlled trial and published in the BMJ Open. Read about this here.

In a structured program, Play Up Valets trigger the imagination, enliven emotions and transport those who cannot travel, to new worlds. Play Up replaces sadness with hope and joy, gives voice to those who cannot speak and brings comfort to all.

“We collaborate intelligently with care professionals to reach desired outcomes. Play Up has the potential to bring out the best in everyone within the facility.”              Jean-Paul Bell, Co-founder and Creative Director
